According to Ds, it's supposed to be dry for several days, so that will help. However that means it will get very cold again. It's best for the house though, so... Today's the first dry day, with no rain forecast, and it went from 90's in the sun at 2, to 50's at 3:30, and dropping fast. Brrrr. It's already down to 61 in the house, so yes, it's going to be cold.
Supposedly, the air fare was taken care of.
I didn't know that Riverside has such a good hospital for cardiac patients, either, but I guess that's true now, even if it may not have been years ago.
Thank you, they could use it. And, you're right, I'll never hear the end result, but her son did say that she was better with each surgery.
I'm glad that your cards arrived after all! So did mine. :-) Mine aren't very fancy, but they express my feelings, and I hope will make people smile. :-)
Hopefully, Dd's box will get there on time for you.
Ds is skipping the turkey breast, which is okay as it saves precious $'s. We will do our chicken, and be happy with that. I'm actually looking forward to it, because we haven't roasted a chicken in a while, and we will use my fresh rosemary under the skin. I love the smell of roasting chicken and rosemary!
I love Hallmark, too! We had a Hallmark store here that was fantastic, but they closed a few years ago, after me going there for 25 years.
It was great just to window shop, and, of course, to buy. Cards, and 'stuff.'
The had beautiful glass pumpkins that I loved to look at, and one year, when my parents' visited, my mom and I made a trip there to shop. She bought me 3 things that year, which seemed like a lot, but we never got to go back together, and I cherish them now.
One was a pretty umbrella. One was a glass, dragonfly wind chime for my collection of wind chimes, and one was a glass hummingbird feeder. Oh, and at the counter she insisted on getting me a pair of fold up reading glasses in a small holder for my purse, lol! I felt very spoiled that day! :-)
Mine was just next to Safeway, and Murphy's Pizza. Yours had some other good stops by it! See's, Broadway, Penny's, and if you had errands, the bank and drug store.
Here, before my favorite drugstore closed, it was a destination in itself. Sure, you could get medication, but they had cute gift items, and was near other convenient shops. Now, my go-to is down to the hardware store...which don't get me wrong, I enjoy going to!
I love pop-up cards, too. I looked at one for Dh, but it has to be a super special occasion because of price. Maybe his birthday, or Father's Day. Both are a way's off, so I have time to think about it.
The train is a great idea!
