The squirrels are clever critters for they climb along under the snow ice covered branches. And the are stuffing their little cheeks so they look little kids.
The birds picked up on my moving their feeding stations... the Doves are being pigs. The sun is so bright but I took more photos anyway.
There is so much snow on the Red Tip bushes but don't loose snow even when a flock of birds land on them. But there is breezes that sometimes shake the branches closest to the driveway then a few minutes later shakes the branches next to the dining room window.
The tmp of the house is 59 degrees. I can't seem to warm up the living room even with the heaters at highest LOW temp. Nor my bedroom.
I have to renuke Chance's Sock for his heater gets turned off when the power goes.
I have to say it felt very MN as I walked sans Charlie, with my broom in one hand and bird seed in another. I didn't trust the back porch - to much ice. SO I walked around the house to the back. Checking for iced over Oak tree roots and fossils - many that are big and stick out of the ground by a couple inches.
I am sure that anyone who saw me sweeping my backyard would think me crazy. LOL
But the birds were so grateful for any ground where I spread seeds.
Charlie is in my bed curled up under one of the blankets.
The cats are hanging out in the library the smallest room but with 2 heaters or when the heaters are on in front of them.
I am just nuking Chance's 3 sock heaters that I will have to renuke after each power outage.
I have one rice washcloth full of rice but it looses heat quickly. At least it helps keep my toes from feeling the old frostbite.
My Breakfast was 3 slices of multigrain bread Avocado toast. I have one more avocado for tomorrow's breakfast. Which may be even colder.
Today will stay below freezing.SO no melting ice or snow.
We need the snow as this may help lesson the drought. Thank you Mother Nature.
It appears like the Wind is getting stronger.
I put up my flag in the library window facing the street as it shouldn't be outside when the weather is bad. I forgot the 12th, Lincolns birthday. I never forget to hang the flag. Dang it.
Well I can't watch DVDs if the power goes out and if my phone doesn't work due to them turning off the cell towers.. I need to let DD's FM know in advance.
Luckily Boys cell service did not get cut off. Living out here is a difference circumstance.
Plus they had a quarter amount of snow we had.
So I will go find a book to read or Charlie and I might go back to sleep. We missed a few hours last night.
Take care if you have dangerous weather. I saw one van drive down the hill last night and watched it return this morning. The only vehicle period.
Keep warm. Looks like peanut butter sandwiches for lunch.
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
