We didn't have as much changing of weather this week. It was either freezing cold at night, and hot in the afternoon, or fairly mild at night with it staying cool during the day and being cloudy or actually raining. Ds saw lightning on the way home last night. We all were happy that it had been raining.
After today, we shouldn't have rain again any day through the end of next week. The nights will be cold - it's already 30's - and pretty much every day next week we will have what they call 'patchy fog,' which is unusual.
I had a fairly productive week. I went through more things, found another disk to go through, went through more boxes that have come (to decide what to do with the actual boxes.), and have things lined up to do some cleaning today. I'd like to wash and dust things, restack, etc.
More vegetables may be coming in tonight. If that happens, then I'll plan to wash, chop, and possibly cook them tomorrow. Or, prep tomorrow, and cook on Monday. We'll see.
I expected a tax return, but got a little more than 1/2 only. I'm happy to have something, but want the whole thing, so that means a call on Monday.
Speaking of Monday...that's the first of 3 days that the tree service is coming. Things still have to be moved for them, including a heavy 16' RR tie. But, Ds has been working. And today, he's going up north to work all day, then when the job is done, he has to go south of here.
That means that Sunday is the only day, which is cutting it close. Especially being that he has to leave in the late morning for an appt., then will come back. Nerve wracking.
This week we had frogs in the little water-filled pipe furrows. One evening, they were on all sides of the house, and clear as bells. Some actually say Ribbit, and others trill. When you find them, they are often at the edge of the water, or in it with just their eyes sticking out. We want to make this permanent for summer, maybe with some plants around it.
Mamou is on Zymox for his ears. He's been shaking his head. It always works. Well, as long as you can get it into their ears. He sounded totally wild when Dh put it in his ears. One day down, and 6 to go.
In other pet news, my new girls (hens.) have started laying eggs! Four days ago, we found a small egg in the run. Then, the next day another, and the following day one more!
So, my girls are growing up fast. It will be nice to go back to getting fresh eggs each day, rather than having to buy a month's worth each month.
Well, that's all from this neck of the woods. How was your week?
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
