Why does it seem like the to-do lists never get shorter? Sheesh.
It's like a decorative plate that my Dmil had hanging on the wall in her kitchen: The hurrier I go, the behinder I get!
That's great about the water!
Guess what we found in some packed totes? A favorite bowl that is big enough to make batters in - it's stainless, and we've all looked for it for years. It was a gift in the 80's, and isn't really for cooking in. It was a large fruit bowl, but works great for cookies, making brown sugar, etc.
A doll that made me cry, :-( but I am glad that it was found. It got wet, so I hope that it can be washed and dried without getting ruined.
And, get this, 2 cases of a tuna that we don't eat anymore, but is hopefully fine. There was water in it, along with a bag of borax, but the cans look fine. If they are fine when opened, I'm going to give the cats a daily, small amount, of bribe food - I mean tuna! :-)
The reason is, that in a couple of weeks or so, they all need to go to the vet. If we had raised them, or they were never feral, I wouldn't worry about it, but this is going to be tricky, now that we've moved.
The last time that Uhura went to the vet, she disappeared for a while, and she won't go anywhere near a crate. But, if we're good enough, we can drop her in it, before she sees the crate.
Mamou, who can be as sweet as any cat, will turn wild cat on us when we put him in a crate, or try to. But, the problem isn't even that, it's going to be when he gets home. He's a very wary cat, and may disappear afterwards. I don't think that he'll trust us easily after that. We are the only ones that he does. As I've mentioned, he disappears when Ds, or anyone, comes over, or even drives up.
No problems with the KK's.
And Tux? He'll have to be trapped, we cannot pick him up or handle him in any way.
It will take crack timing, as they have to be crated/caught not too long before leaving. It's not going to be pretty...
It's time for their vaccines, Tux must be fixed, and Mamou needs his leg looked at. His limp is getting worse.
So, I'm thinking that if I start now with the bribe tuna, same time each day, or every couple of days...just a bit, divided between them, I may have them in a routine enough for special food to bring them back when they come home and run off, which I'm sure will happen with one or all.
Hoping for things to go well with all of your projects and needs.
