That's so interesting that your cats don't care for tuna. I have always thought of it as cat opium! I hope that mine like it, as they've never had it, as far as I know.
I loved it when the ranch vets came around. It was extremely convenient. They don't come around here anymore.
Though, we did have a vet not far from here (since moved into town.) who would take my cats in by the batch (we'd crate 6 at a time and take them in.) and give them their vaccines at a discount, once a year. I'd pay something like $5. a cat, no office fee. Not as good as your deal, but better than anywhere else, and much, much better than what we have to pay now.

I'm glad about Kitty. It's kind of strange, but good!
Good idea on the tuna in the crate. I may only give Mamou and Tux 'essence' (let them lick a can.) before they go, since either may have surgery that day. Or, maybe the vet will wait a day, but I don't know.
