I've had 80 year old parrots, but a cherry headed conure, which may or may not be what Ruby was, live for 25-35 years only, if well cared for, (which includes not only good diet etc. but 12 hrs. of sleep a day, always letting them know what you are doing to avoid startling them, etc.)in captivity. I've heard of them living longer, but it's not common, and they never to be as old as some other types of parrots.
It really depends on the type of parrot.
