We had a bit of rain last week but this was a STORM!!
My area received an inch & a quarter. Hurrah!!!! So with the brief tiny rains the yard is bursting. Trees, bushes that suffered freeze damage may be slow to come back.
But the Live Oaks are covered in tiny new bright green buds, leaves and the small bushy flowers hang down at arms length. Thats after grooming them to prevent scratches to Boys pickup.
So the hardier trees and bushes are doing ok. It will be a few weeks before I can guage the come back of the rest.
The China Berry is usually one of the first along with a few other flowering.
Its to rain again weds. So will have to mow the tallest area Tuesday.
The storm did throw some serious Hail. I think the noise I heard was rain. Hard rain. I looked out side at 1:15am wind was clocked at 65/70 MPH here. Whoo Hoo! But lime sized hail was in some areas. More in SA and north & south east of town.
The flood patterns in the yard have exposed more fossils. It mostly washes downhill to the back North East corner.
At least the paths Charlie & I have made have been swept clear of leaves. I need to mow all those piles to create mulch.
But oh, everything is so clean and bright and green. I love Spring.
Hope you have a great one.
