Btw, those bubblegum machine items go for quite a bit sometimes. People want what they once had, I think. I've looked at them myself, but the prices have deterred me.
I like things hanging, too. Those sound like really special pieces, having come from your dgps, and mom's place. The quilts, though, they are the real treasures.
There were quite a few paintings, etc. that were on the wall when I was growing up. One was a woman in blue, but she's not playing the piano.
It's in storage, but not up here, so I am not sure that it, and others, will ever come up.
However, I have one picture here from my childhood. I didn't know anything about it, but always liked it. One day, I was looking through the old photos that we had put on disk from my parent', and there were photos of my mom up in the mountains where we used to go pretty often. In one photo, she was at an art auction, at the lodge there, and was holding the painting that I grew up with, and now have, with the artist, I believe, holding the other side of it, posing for photos!
So, I don't know everything about it, but I do know approx. when we got it, and where. I was happy to have that information, as there's no one left to ask.
