There was that Chain Link fence with the twisty ends atop from which I hung by my right palm.
That did not stop me from climbing as often as possible to escape - alone - into the woods that was part of a very large farm.
I used to watch the farmer in his tractor through the seasons. Fascinating.
But I discovered early on a hugh tree that had been hit by lightening and broken to form a throne chair.
The back was torn in to sheds. Even so I was able to lean back comfortably and read.
The seat appeared to have been cut by a saw as it was flat and smooth. I cannot remember that the tree trunk remained. How odd.
This throne... what I called it...was in the center of a clearing. Wild flowers and reeds and low grasses grew there spring to fall.
It was my secret place. I never took anyone, ever. A loner even then. My two youngest brothers were born in MI. So I would have moved there age 9 turning 10 that first winter.
I found the woods the shortly after moving there. We moved to CA in July when I was 13.
I ended up with my own bedroom with it's own door to the back yard.

Ok enough. Oh she decided I should be a model. She made an appointment for me to try out.
They said I needed a job and to live in my own. I got a job at a local Wells Fargo. Walked to work. Shared an apt with three other girls.
I had been going to Santa Monica City collage. That was stopped. There went my Art career.
