Yes, the wind isn't good when you don't want to be cold. It cuts right through and makes an okay temperature miserable.
Hmmm. That's a good question. I would probably say that he and Charlie would do fine together. But, ultimately, it's up to how you feel about it, of course.
Me, too, re: lists. Since big shopping day, after 2 months (!) is Monday, I have to have everything complete by tomorrow. I'm doing pretty well on it, though. I sent 7 weeks of menus to Ds yesterday, and mine look good, too. It's just nailing down the shopping list, which needs color coding, and I'm trying to do it by aisle, to make shopping even faster.
The other day when Ds was going from point A to point B I went over what I already had, and asked questions, like: Where is the cocoa? Where is the juice? Etc.
At first, I was surprised when he'd say something like, the cocoa is on the meat aisle. I realized later that he didn't mean next to the meat, but just the same aisle, since aisles are 20-something feet long, or whatever they are.
What we're trying to accomplish, is him walking up one aisle, then down the next, without having to go back to aisles when he gets farther down the list.
With a short list, he can look ahead, and see if there's anything else on the aisle, but with looooong lists for multiple families...
We've had good luck with my reading him off the list as he shops, rather than him looking at his phone, picking something up and putting it in his cart, then looking at his phone again and finding his place, etc. It's quicker overall when I read it off.
Also, when something's not available, he doesn't have to choose an alternative item, amount, etc. I'm on the phone so he can say something like: They don't have your brand of 8 oz. cream cheese. Do you want blah-blah brand instead, two 4 ouncers, or just skip it for now?
I really like choosing for myself, and these days when stores are short on things like paper towels, vegetables, chicken, etc. it's even better that I can make my shopping decisions. I called in my canned pears and Dh's corn chips ahead, like we did last time, and to another store, in Ukiah, I also called in Ds's tortillas and frozen burritos. They are life savers for him when he needs something to eat late at night after working a long day.
Anyway, sorry, I digress.
That's great about your bills!
I have 3 insurance bills that don't start their cycle again until June...I know, as I asked the agent multiple times to be sure. However, I got a notice, today, that it's delinquent if not paid by the 4th...tomorrow! This is impossible, but I can't let it lapse, so am waiting for a callback. One is for the house in L.A., the 2nd is also for the house in L.A. but earthquake coverage, and the 3rd is for up here. They want double what I pay. So, it really needs straightening out. Phooey. :-(
Darn, I'm sorry about the plants.
Thank you, have a great weekend, and coming week!
