The Lost Symbol was not what I expected. Instead it pulled me back into my childhood then in to my college days, and so on. A fascinating read.
It is an exquisite tour of Washington DC and of the history of human thought. It involves the history of the Masons of which my father & grandfather belonged.
This is a book full of wonderful details with a story of a family, in part. It's about science and religion and all of human kind.
It features Robert Langdon and references the earlie books. But this book is a stand alone.
I've read the two other Robert Langdon books and enjoyed them tremendously.
If you like puzzles this one is a winner.
