I did ask them to make my taco differently at Taco Bell, though. It used to bother me that the tiny shreds of cheese would fall off of the tacos, so when we moved here, I asked that when they built my taco if they could please put the cheese on second, right after the meat. That way, they cheese stayed put, melted a little, and it seems like they put more on it when they did it that way. Then, the lettuce could go on.
They were happy to do it. I didn't only eat tacos there, though. I also had meat and cheese burritos, and Mexi-melts. I understand that the latter has changed since I was able to eat there.
Mind you, the menu was a *lot* more limited when I first ate there, many decades ago. Actually, it was not long after they opened in '62, in Downey.
