I am thrilled to post I have a family group of Great Tailed Grackles abiding here. There were two sitting on my power line. One was in the top of the tallest tree in my up hill neighbors yard. It seemed to be the only one doing the Gackles speak. They are enjoying the seed I toss out.
Their speech is unique as it truly sounds luke rust machinery.
The squirrel gave some great poses. This one seems to live here. It just crossed via jumping from tree to tree to get to the nut bowl.
I just brought more nuts to give it a reward for letting me enjoy it's morning.
I use a metal bowl that hangs in a cedar tree. Once I fill it with a few nuts I tap the cup with a fossil. I hope it heard the tapping.
The Hummers are out this morning and feeding from both feeders. There are a few noisy ones. It took me a while to be able to spot them sitting in the cedars.
Its a very noisy morning this to all the birds. Especially the Guinea hens. One has be alerting for the past few minutes. Plus a rooster that crows all day & night is active.
I now have a list of the 31 bird types that I've seen & heard.
Just no deer. I miss them. Time to go in. Have a great day.
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
