First, I am sorry you were injured by your cat. But glad you are all OK. Thank goodness DS was able to get to you in order to shelter in place.
Your lightning storm sounds like what I was in at BOR. I was just leaving to drive to town when lightening began striking the pasture on all sides of the road. It was terrifying.
Luckily I had just left the house and was just at the bottom of the hill a 1/4 mile from home. I backed up the hill and right into the big tractor shed. I ran to the house. The lightning continued without rain. Luckily the horses and Rosie were all in their barn together.
When living at BOR I saw the worst storms ever. Until I moved to MN. As horrid as they were nothing compared to that "rainless Lightning storm."
I posted above you at the same time that we are now going to have rain for over 12 days. Whatever is happening to the climate it is not good.
That there were accidents caused by the storm is pity. Prayers for those involved. Thank goodness you are all ok.
While Charlie and I walked the yard yesterday I realized that there is a new layer of dirt to my driveway. Quite a thick one in fact. My back area has also been changed by the runoff from the last storm. Now there is a week more. Unreal.
I just checked on line and in the last 72 hrs we rec'd over 3 feet of rain. The areas south & southeast of us have received way more. Be careful what you pray for. I know it is trite but still err on the cautious side. Mother Nature is fully engaged now. As the old saying implies - The pendulum swings, first one way then the other for "all" things.
I'm am relieved that the fires they found were put out.
And will continue to pray that CA gets more rain from top to bottom.
I found a new radar map to replace the Storm Radar the Weather Channel is shutting down. Plus a new app that shows rainfall over periods of time. I never thought I'd need one like that.
Well off to post to Sat's postings.
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
