I saw it on BBC Sounds and listened to it on an impulse. THe best impulse I have ever had. I am going to buy DD the book and myself the AUdio book. It will be my first audio book.
The author is absolutely brilliant. I have never heard a more emotionally touching book.
I am in the middle of reading G.K. Chesterton's The Complete Father Brown Stories. None are very long but all are works of Art using the written word.
I was going to ready Chesterton's Essays first. But I read a bit from the stories and got hooked.
Right now I am listening to BBC Sounds offering titled Words & Music. I am in heaven for the first option is Pictures at an Exhibition. Words describing the ArtWork at a museum along with the music created by various composers. They are playing many of my favorite pieces. I also have many art books and been to many museums and seen the works they are describing.
The music covers all ages and types. Not just Classical. 8-) Still I am in heaven. It seems this year has been a gift as far as Authors and composers go.
DD is working on her spelling lists given her by her coach. So no reading this week.
Charlie is waiting to go out. The sun is bright and starting it's fall into the West. Time to play some ball. l0l.
