The ground beef w/ soup etc. over mashed potatoes is delicious!
Do you make your own sun tea ever? Do you have a jar to make it in? I grew up with Lipton's.
We were just talking about gingerale today. Ds was looking at some, and he was saying that he grew up on Jamaican ginger ale, then when he tasted a 'regular' one, it tasted like sugar water to him.
I'll bet that those hogies were delicious! Any good sandwich from a good deli mostly is, but when you get certain types, they are better than others! I used to eat sandwiches at various types of delis (perk of where we were.), and they were wonderful!
I used to eat trout that I caught. Were yours rainbows, browns, or...?
I think that I like Easter hams and Christmas/Thanksgiving turkeys as much for the leftovers as anything. And the meals were a lot about the sides for me.
They have gotten rid of some of the Campbell's soups that I remember and loved, and people have told me that some, even if still around, no longer taste the same. A shame, but perhaps for me it makes not eating them a little easier. I ate all four of those, plus others. Grilled cheese with tomato; absolutely!
My mother made great fried chicken, but rarely made it. I loved it at her mother's house, but at home my father preferred meat and chicken broiled, baked, or grilled. So, I waited until we visited my grandparents, then ate more than I probably should have! :-)
