My mother used to tell me that my grandfather had a thing that you put in the car window. You rolled down the window, placed it in it, then rolled it up to hold it in place...I think.
Then, when you drove, the wind coming through turned the blades of a fan, which then cooled the people in the car.
Speaking of popsicles, which you can make out of anything, even ice coffee, did you know that they sell plastic things like what Otter Pops come in?
I imagine that they take less room in the freezer. They zip at the top, like a Ziploc baggie. I never saw them before today.
That's true about one place being hotter than the other, and the cooling role that trees play, also.
