I have liked the sound of oat milk, and assumed that it would, yes, taste like oats. Which seems like it would work with oatmeal?
I hope that the lactose-free ice cream works for you! They have a lactose-free milk that I've seen advertised for a while now. It's actual milk. Before he stopped sugar altogether, Ds used to eat an ice cream made from coconut cream/milk.
I'm with Dh, I'd love to be able to eat a real ice cream sandwich again, and I wouldn't turn down a Drumstick, either!
That's what I figured, too. Either the 'Otter Pop' holders are new, or I just wasn't looking for them, so never saw them.
I had an idea that Ds likes. They were feeding the baby pieces of watermelon, and she mostly liked it. (She was not sure about the concept of having it disappear in her mouth, but leaving a bit of solids behind.) So I thought, what if you were to blend watermelon, then put the resulting juice into one of those holders and freeze them, for any time during the summer? No having to run out and get watermelon, no extra sugar needed. Just a cool and healthy treat!
