I imagine that everyone has figured out that I was offline due to the heat.
I almost ended up with a partly grown pup, by the way. *snapping fingers.* Darn, so close! :-) Actually, unless it was just meant to be, this still leaves it open for me to choose the dog that I want. Of course, I could have found him/her a home, but sometimes finding a good home for a dog is easier said than done.
What happened, was that a couple of days ago, a cat was hit on the hwy. :-( And her 1/2 grown kitten was running in the hwy, but he/she ran off. This was witnessed by Ds.
Well, yesterday, almost in the same spot, a 1/4 grown pup was running across the hwy. (Can you see my hair standing up on end?) So, I told Ds that if there was a place to safely pull over, and he could talk the pup into the truck, I would take him/her, and at least try to find it's home.
Then, 2 more showed up - littermates, I think - and he found a house on the side of the hwy that he thinks they came from. He tried to go to the house, but the gate was locked, and the dogs found their way back in. They probably got out while people were sleeping because it was early...6ish?
Later I asked what kind of dogs they were. At first he thought terrier mixes, which works for me, then changed it to yellow lab mixes with slightly longer fur.
I was so glad about your vascular appt., too!
Excellent on the foods! I love a beautiful, big head of cabbage!
I'm glad that you are enjoying your weather!
The moon's not a problem here. Not only is it clear at night at this time of year, generally, but it's right in the windows where we sleep, and we don't have curtains as yet. It was like daylight at night this past week.
I like the early hours in the summer, too. And, pretty much one has to be up and at 'em early, otherwise it gets too hot to do anything, and you've lost you're whole day.
Yes, some decorations fade, but I've never been able to tell which ones will or won't.
It's great that you got, not only a really good washing machine, but also one that takes the larger loads. Excellent choice of everyones!
That's great about seeing your Dgd!
It's hard for dad's to let kids do their own thing sometimes. And, I can see how such an age difference might concern him. Kudos to him for letting it go.
Have you planned meals that you'll have with them? Maybe some pre-made foods, like pizza from the freezer, and something that you make that you know that Dgd likes? Please let me know when you make a decision!
I hope that this changes your issues with your phone to having care-free service from now on!
Maybe you can find a rescue that takes parrots such as Chance regularly, and set it up that if something happens to you, that he can be sent there. Then, give Boy their contact information, just in case. Then, you can have him in the environment that he's used to right now, but if you decide, at any time, that you just can't care for him anymore, you can choose that option at that time.
I'm glad that she's enjoying being back to work!
Hopefully, there won't be a need for a new lockdown between now and fall, but I know that they are worried about the Delta variant, and I also know that if the cases start to go up because of it, that this state will shut things down again.
Same here, lots and lots of boxes.
Have a wonderful week!
