I emptied overflowing nut & seed cups. While Charlie ran at full speed enjoying the drizzle and cool fresh air.
While trudged after him and sighing at the new gullies and all the large puddles of rainwater.
The birds both front & back jumped or flew to their morning breakfast. And to my dismay, discovered Charlie eating peanut shells.
I will now clean them up & toss in the compost. If I recall correctly nuts are not good for dogs, I am assuming their shells aren't either.
Since it's been raining a whole new population of Rain Flowers are sprouting. That's nice.
What isn't is that I had lopped off low hanging branches from all Oak and other trees.
Boy has a massive pickup and I need to keep the branches from scraping his roof. So the other day I went armed with my Loper and raised the branches by 3 feet.
This morning I discovered the branches and trees were full of rain and that I was being hit in the head & face by them. I had my cap on & the brim down as still raining a bit.
The branches when I cut them rose almost 4 feet above my head.
I have now been whiplashed by wet oak leaves and branches in my face - What a shock. And adding insult to injury, the trees rained on me as I walked under them.
I find nature so interesting, don't you? Lol. I was soaked through my sweat jacket. Sheesh! Not from rain from the sky, but rain from the trees.
There are darker clouds over SA. Thunder is frequent there and loud enough to hear even inside.
Maybe some clearing later, though thunderstorms are to continue through the rest of the week.
Whoopee!!!! NOT!!! 8-(
