There are 5 deer altogether not counting the wee one. Two are mid sized so three probably adults.
The brave one still stares at Charlie and I without dashing away. So brave.
I am on the front porch listening to Jazz. There is a lovely breeze that comes & goes.
The two Hummers argue over who uses the new glass feeder. It's red and so has apparently pasted muster. 8-)
The Dung beetles are rolling Charlie's dung into balls almost 3 times their size. And they are smooth perfectly round. Amazing.
Locust are slowly singing at night. More Crickets are presenting their music and there fireflies in the dark areas of the yard, front & back.
Lovely except when the neighbors, whose yard is directly behind our tall wooden fence, turn on strings and strings of lights and it looks like a circus. It lights up my yard and the back of my house as well. Oh well. Nothing I can do about it.
Most of the Sparrows, at least 50 at last count, are enjoying taking dirt baths. The driveway dries out first so wheen the sunbis do are all the birds.
All the pet food was delivered today. And the two bird feeder/ bird baths. One will hang under the wild bird feeder to catch all the seed the doves scoop on to the ground.
I have a plant pot out front they all bathe in. So I will use the other one not as a bird bath but as a feeder. I just need to put it under a roof of sorts.
Well that's all the latest critter wise. The sun is out. The breeze is gentle and though warm not humid.
Unfortunately t storms due all week. Sigh. My front along the road is now over two feet tall grass. I am hoping for 2 days of dry weather. Boy brought me gas and I ordered filters and oil, oo I'm ready to go. 8-)
Wishing you the weather you need and some you want. I have erosion all over and some spots are mushy.
