I had cataract surgery on my left eye yesterday.

Everything went very smoothly. I saw the doctor today, and he said all was good. He said the surgery was perfect. I, now, have 20-20 vision in my left eye. I have NEVER had 20-20 in that eye. Glasses could only get me to 30-30. I thought I would be able to wear my glasses with the lens out of the left side, but there is absolutely no way. So, for the first time since I was nine-year-old, I am not wearing glasses. It isn't perfect since the right eye needs to be done, but it is sooooo much better, Colors are even brighter without the fogginess in my lens. I just have to wear a patch for a bit at night, but that is not big deal. I plan to sleep in gloves, so I hope the texture of the gloves will wake me up if I try to mess with my eye. The patch is plastic, so it will protect my eye. I can advise anyone to do this. It is great to have a clear view (with one eye anyway). Vision will even improve over the next three weeks. I may have to have glasses for some things, but not for everything.
