I read a webpage of people from here to Eureka, and over in Lake Co. Most people thought that it felt like a bigger quake even than that. It must have to do with how the fault runs.
But the interesting thing is that it wasn't felt by anyone posting who was north of it, which was closer than most of us were. Places like Eureka and Ferndale. Odd. It must be, once again, how the fault runs.
Luckily, they deemed it unlikely to be a tsunami incident, which is a danger right there off the coast.
Some people had things thrown around, pictures off of walls, etc. Luckily, I don't have walls yet, so...! My artwork right now consists of a picture that Thyri drew with pens that they handed her, on a post with a magnet. :-)
Also, we just heard on the radio that there's a mandatory evacuation in Lake Co. today due to a fire. :-( The smoke from that is starting to be seen here to the S.E.
Thank you. I'd like a quiet, event-free summer.
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
