She wanted me to choose a light pink frame that was plastic. YUCK!!!
Instead I choose a light grey semi transparent frame with a reflective lens coating. There is a metal frame inside Plastic so they are not lightweight and won't fall off. These are also much smaller then my previous frames.
I don't look in mirrors often. I'm more interested in how they work. My eyes are very light sensitive and I've been wearing dark wrap around glasses outside. Living here is furthest south then any other state. Latitude is much closer to the equator then any place I have ever lived.
Imagine my delight when these new glass with the reflective coating made it possible for me to go outside and not be "blinded by the light," so to speak. Hurrah!
I do have the RX so will be ordering a pair of shades, probably from Walmart. My last wraparound pair they did was perfect and not that expensive.
Plus they were no charge... thank you Humana.
I am so relieved to be rid of my last pair of glasses. The last Optometrist I dealt with insisted on pushing my frames down towards the tip of my nose. Thus cutting off my breathing. I kept pushing them back up. When I got them I had them fitted and they seemed ok. Until I realized they the lenses meant to sit low on my nose. ARRRGH!!!
Plus one side earpiece broke. ARRRGH!!! I gave up trying to complain - these were expensive - plus I had no transport. Plus the frames were black - a secretary look. Shades of my past.
I mickey moused the ear piece so that it sat where "I" needed them to sit. But that meant the lenses were slightly off. Things were very chaotic and Covid appeared shortly after. I gave up and have been living with what I had.
So my new glasses are a gift. The lens are not as visually sharp, due to my cataracts. But the frames fit.
Besides I have lots of "caps" that I wear outside when working in the yard or walking Charlie.
Whew, what a relief to have this done. Now to go to a neurologist for my MS. Joy, Joy! LOLOL... life is so exciting lately. SIGH!
