I would love for things to be more affordable, too...without income being less.
I totally agree on just about everything on the improvement list! (I don't use a smart refrigerator, but I can be happy for it for you, and others who use them.)
The fact that just about everyone has access to security cameras of one form or another is a real improvement. Not only is it safer, and more convenient for people, but a lot of footage that's being gotten that is helpful to people, police, etc. comes from them.
We have a man evading the law out at the coast. He's armed and dangerous (he's stolen guns from people's homes - he's a burglar, and has shot at deputies.), and the photos that we all saw of him to identify him, have come from people's cameras. Which also let people know that he was in their house/on their property, so that they didn't return home and startle him while he was still there. Of course, they aren't all set up to people's phones...mine's not, but if it is, that's nice for something like a break-in.
Wouldn't I have loved a home printer when I was back in school! Or, even just 30 years ago!
