We have had hot, though cooler, days again, and very hot days. 102 to 115. However, the rain day last weekend gave us 1 1/2". If we get a real winter this year, and an early one, I hope that we get enough rain, sooner than later, to end the fire season quickly.
We all got a scare yesterday when sirens and sirens and sirens went up the hwy, then helicopters and planes started to fly over. Luckily Ds was home, and I asked him where they were headed. Anything north of me goes by us first, then him.
After I called, they got to him. Luckily, while it turned out that they weren't going too far above him, they got it under control quickly.
We had a lot of business to take care of this week, things like dealing with our insurance, etc. I was on the phone yesterday alone for over 1 hr. with the bank, and Dh will take over today with them.
Henry is growing like a weed, and doesn't look so small to me anymore. He's 8 weeks old tomorrow, and that's perfect, because his wormers, which can't be given until 8 weeks old, will be here on Monday, according to tracking.
I have a spider deterrent spray which Ds sprayed beneath the cameras today. The spiders keep creating webs which block my view every few days. If it works, I'll let you know, in case you ever want to spray the entrance points in your house against spiders and other bugs. It's a natural mint spray, so safe around animals.
We got a lot of needed things done, like getting the bulk flour mixed and in the container that it goes in, getting a baby gate put in place of the temp. barrier between the living room and the hallway, and getting a place to set up another air filter.
Also, Dh went out front one day after the rain, when the ground was still muddy, and found pawprints in the drying mud, right out the front of the house. Even though they were a little messed up, they look a lot like bear prints. They are big.
Well, that's all from this neck of the woods! How was your week?
