Frightening. There was a siren that took the main road in town to the end of the peninsula. I never here it pass back so hopefully all is well.
A bear? That close to your house... eek is right.
Yes please, on the spider deterrent name.
Needed chores... same here. Winterizing is a pain in the neck, and other places.
I am still dealing with water bottles in Boys flat trailer. I had it full covered with 2 tarps. The tarps are falling apart as are the trash bags. The trash service won't take black trash bags. So I have emptied almost half the amount. I think I may be close by January having all the old trash GONE!!!
Then I can start on getting rid of all the boxes... I won't pay to have them picked up & recycled. All I have to do is slice & dice and toss in the bin.
The kids may take some to ship their things to the Phillipines. The are building a home there already. And ddils family is storing the boxes they already sent.
Thank goodness the fire was put out. This has been the coolest summer since I moved here. The 3 100 degree days were in Spring. Unreal.
Usually we have 100 plus days from July to Early Oct.
So everyone is concerned with another ice storm hitting us. I hope not, but I have and am storing well water just in case. Drinking water depends on Boy keeping all my 5 gal jugs topped off.
That we went right to 40s on the Equinox was stunning. They predicted upper 50s. Which it was until the sun came out and our temp dropped to mid 40s. Burr... thats not bad if the drop is gradual...but within 1 hr? Whoa!!!
I have been working on cleaning the siding. Due to the heavy rain... mold built up. What a pain. I only have a step ladder. Kinda tricky to use. Plus the mold is dry so mask is necessary, luckily I wear glasses.
I have half done, with half to go. Then I need to wash the siding with All soap powder to really clean.
2 years ago I was able do the portions close I set to the road. So far they are still mild free. Having bug trees is why the mold developed. I had hoped to work in the morning all summer. Ha! That sure didn't happen. 8-).
Oh well, at least in 1 full year I can get rid of all the accumulated trash. The trash companies just started serving small 1 trash can customers. Thank goodness. I started on May 9th this year. By Nov 1st half the recycling will be gone. YEAH!!
That is not counting the boxes. So maybe by mid 2022... the recycling will be almost, if not all gone.
I will always have recycling of liter sized water bottles. Boxes from Chewy, Amazon, Walmart and both food delivery services. And aluminum cans and steel. I can't trust that the power won't go out completely. Oh, I try not to buy anything in plastic. Nigh impossible these days. But I REUSE WHAT EVER I CAN. I am rabid about that.
Well on that optimistic note, I have to have dinner. Some kind of leftovers.
Just recycling food. Lolol
