Chinese food sounds great! I love Chinese food! When you make a Christmas dinner of it, do you just get a variety of items?
When we used to eat at General Lee's for birthdays, in L.A., we would get a variety of food for the 6 of us (our family of 4, plus one set of my grandparents.), including appetizers such as ribs, egg foo yung, rumaki (sp?), eggrolls, wonton soup, etc.
Then we'd have family style main dishes such as chow mein and pepper beef - with sautéed peppers and tomatoes in it. And, rice.
Of course, we always ended with pots of green tea and lots of almond cookies. I could eat/drink my weight in them. And, finally, fortune cookies.
Fortune cookies are fun, and there *used* to be a gf fortune cookie out there. I don't know if there still is, but maybe?
Would you be serving tea after the meal?
When my kids were all at home, I would make them tea with miniature muffins sometimes, as a 'tea party.' But, I served it using my Chinese tea pot and cups. They also loved to use chopsticks sometimes. It doesn't take much to entertain them at that age!
Oh good, you can use it!
