Mind you, it was raining.
However, even when it rains, if there's a full moon, you can see light, if not the actual moon. Then, it stopped raining for a short time.
Again, the brightness of the moon, even when it's cloudy comes through. It reflects off of the clouds.
But, last night, it was just black. Black hole black. Not a bit of light came through, not a single reflection, nothing. This is the darkest that I've ever seen it up here, which is interesting, considering that it was only 99%. But, with clouds covering that sliver, that makes sense.
When we had the last eclipse, it was not cloudy, so the moon was visible, and you could see color over the moon. So, it was dark, yes, but not like last night/this morning.
