Family Secrets, book 1, is when Jayne returns to Whispering Pines to pack up and sell her grandmother's house. Her parents want nothing to do with it, but Jayne gets hired by the sheriff because she recently left her job as a detective, and she meets Tripp who is one of the ones the council won't let live there permanently because he could live anywhere and he suggests making the gran's house into a B&B. Immediately, Jayne is investigating a murder. Her grandmother and grandfather founded the town for people who were eager to be away from general society and lots of wiccans came as well as fortune tellers, gypsies and carnies.

Kept Secrets is book two and not only is Jayne involved in another murder, the Sheriff takes his own life and suddenly Jayne is the Sheriff. Then she discovers that her grandmother did not slip, hit her head and drown in the bath, she was murdered.

Past Secrets finds Jayne trying to discover secrets, her grandmother's murder, and what is going on in the village. She also decides she wants to stay and also run the B&B with Tripp.
