I'm sorry that he's not feeling well. I didn't realize that he was still suffering from the c-diff.
I do know about broth and rice, but hadn't thought about those fruits.
Anything that you can cook in a pot until it's mush....carrots, meat, chicken, etc. then strain so that he gets the resulting broth, will give him nutrition and protein. Maybe make it strong, with less water. I'm not sure how nutritious boxed or canned broth is. When we first got here after evacuating, I got very sick and weak, and the guys made a broth for me, which I ate/drank for a couple of weeks, and it really did bring me back from the bad place that I was in.

Isn't that nice? I haven't had that opportunity with grandchildren, but I loved it when the kids had someone over like that. Josh must think you're a wonderful grandmother!
