He has been dealing with the VA Hospital and Soc Sec and the court, etc. Trying to be on SS at his early age. I had not idea how many meds he is on currently. I knew he has been having physical difficulties. He has been hiding it from me. So yesterday was when he finally opened up to me.
His son has been helping with the boc pickups, but he finally went to far with creating a disaster in Boy & DDils house - that Boy dropped his son from the box company. I am so glad he did as they will no longer be doing the boxes by years end. Hopefully a lot sooner. So that's what is going on with them. Except DDIL should arrive in Texas on Sat. I know DDIL will be very upset when she sees the house. She was in isolation for over a week and the airlines gave her lots of trouble. Luckily Boy had worked for Southwest for a long time and was able to deal with the reps in the Philippines in regards to getting her a flight home. What amess and that added more stress on all of them.
I am so concerned for Boy's health. I am praying that he is able to win the court's approval to receive Soc Sec. That I was able to see how badly his health is was a shock. He is going daily to his local VA hospital And is on so many meds I am shocked.
So prayers please for my son and his wife as they deal with multiple issues of Family and health concerns. I am very disappointed in my gs's behavior. His sister at least is responsible. As for them living together... I pray that works out. Neither want children. They brag they are millennials and have no desire to deal with their Dad or me.
Luckily Boy's youngest daughter is a loving woman who works hard. I can't remember if I mentioned tht she finally got her HS diploma. She has was born with serious life health issues but has bought herself a car and has a license and is working and getting raises. She and her male companion - a very nice man that is helping her achieve a normal life. She and I are very similar in character. Which means she is more like her Dad, who is very like me. His son and other daughter are both very like their mother.
So that's what is going on here. What a multi soap opera my family has turned out to be.
The final god news is that I will be getting a new phone. I am looking into AARP, or other companies that have Senior discounts and phones. I have felt so much older and have aged tremendously over these last five years. Oh well.
Last bit of good news - DD had her interview with the company in Calif that is a One on One organization that has ratio of 1 client to 1 staff for each developmentally disabled person. This is is for males & females. This program makes sure they have jobs, earn money - pay taxes, etc. They are part of the Federal & Calif programs that cover Health insurance which is Soc Sec, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
DD is so excited about have a one on one coach. She had coaches that were not tested regularly for Covid. There were two other women clients who were often ill, and one male client. The clients were not tested regularly either. They were all in one car and didn't have jobs. DD was often bored and that is not good for a client's positive attitude.
So I am praying that DD is accepted into this program.
Hopefully I will hear soon from DD and her Foster Mother that she has been accepted. Candle lit for her.
