We too are slated to get rain Monday and Tuesday.
We had our family dinner last night. Becky arrived on her own and Kenny came without Becca. Becca was sleeping and she hasn't been sleeping well. I cooked a ton of food, so sent home food with him and sent food for Becky's crew...they had been rounding up cattle and moving them down to her parents house. They worked until well after 9. Curtis called me after 9 on their way back to town but it kept cutting out. I finally told him we'd talk when he was back in town and had a chance. Josh has asked if he can shadow Curtis this summer....he's thinking engineering for college...chefing on the side instead of sole occupation.
Tony built me a new trellis and oriental arch for the garden ...for the wisteria. It's beautiful!! I posted pictures on facebook and he's had two requests from AA friends to make one for each of them.
Even though we were missing some for dinner, it was a really pleasant evening. Becky talked to dh for over an hour and a half about his time in Viet Nam. He usually dowsn't get a lot of people interacting with him because he has trouble hearing them...but I thought that was so sweet of her to focus on him.
I was on my feet all day preparing for everyone and cooking, so I was really hurting by the tine everyone left. LOL! The girls were so sweet....they are talking about doing street tacos and bear chili for next time!!! But the awesome thing is, they took over planning and making the food!!! Oh, and Becky showed us pictures of the results of Carter's latest hunting....wild turkey!!!
