DD appears to have really good coaches. They are giving her books (challenging) for her to read to me... we spend an hour plus now on the phone.

I know the fiber guys will be in the house... so I am trying to get all the dust and dirt up and gone. But with the heat during the afternoons and the fans on - well, you can imagine the dust comes in and by evening everything is dusty in a day or two, again!

Bird seed and cats litter, as well as dirt and leaves from Charlies running and chasing balls. You can imagine his nails are loaded. 8-(

So trying to keep up is a loosing proposition. I try to read and rest and instead of reading I'm falling asleep in the afternoons when if it is hot.

I began taking my Prednisone and had a really good night. I didn't wake up to 5:30 am. And by 6:30 I was up and doing. The night before was bad again...plus I had trouble getting the RX filled. But finally - it took 3 days for my neighbor to get it filled. The Drug stores are few and far between.

But I am eating pretty good and think I am gaining a few ozs more regularly. I still walk to the mail box 6 or 7 days a week. I am cooking more stuff. But I have been in such pain and discomfort that I have put off the soups and even large salads and pasta dishes.

My budget is so fricking tight now... extra large bills, and increases in three or four of my regular bills. The mornings are in the 40's almost every day. So I have to leave the E-heaters on but also the living room heater for the cats & chance. Charlie has his own quilt and is often snuggled under it every night. I have the small electric blanket under my sheet. Heat rises thank goodness. Sometimes Charlie is next to me.

The thing is Texas has been breaking weather records way more then usual this year. Afternoons are HOT... humidity disappears over night then comes back during the day late afternoon.

That makes fire danger 24/7. It's been months and months since any decent rain. A sprinkle here burning up. I saw that California is considering having the natives do their forest burns - instead of not letting them. Stupid White Guys!!!!!

Seems to me the Gods that be are finding ways to eliminate humans.

Well I need to eat lunch... oops late it's 1:35. Ramen and peas and some applesauce I think.
