I picked up chelsea from the vet and I had an older male doctor this time. He's the one that worked on her ears....as much as he could. He said the ear canals have calcified...both of them, however the right is worse. He said he has never seen this in such a young dog. She's lost some of her hearing, but what he thinks is going to happen is an operation that abraids inside the ear and she would be deaf. I'm taking her back to him in three weeks, first Friday of May and he will look again at hear ears. We may just bring her back on a regular basis and let them monitor her ears and eventually opt for the ablasion if she is in pain with her ears. The main thing for me is to keep her out of pain. I'm so sad.

This morning dh helped me with the bird feeders. He hates that I get on the ladder and he can reach them without it, so he took them down, I filled, and then he put them back up for me. What changed??? A little bird came and made eye contact with him this morning. It's one of my favorite birds...black-headed. I know I posted the name of them here, but can't remember now. Anyway, he was tickled and helped me feed.

I have know for years that the neighbor next door is Kara . The neighbor at my backyard is Jan. I just found out the neighbor on the corner is Mary!!! (That was my mom's name. So I have mom on one side and my daughter on the other (even though we are almost the same ages) and over the back fence is my ex's current wife! LOL!

So I worked on cake for dh's birthday tomorrow...carrot cake with molded chocolate decorations...Koi. flowers and leaves and cream cheese frosting.
