Some, which might be near you, as well as in Oklahoma etc. actually look like rattle snakes with their patterning, which is on purpose. They will even move their tails to sound like they are rattling in the grass.

But, you know how budgies and cockatiels can have white or yellow, instead of their usual coloring? Rat snakes can have the same leucistic thing going on, and be pink.

So, maybe you have a leucistic rat snake?
