White is classic.
I love redwood, too! The people on the show painted over everything that was redwood!
The bathroom sinks that you mentioned are pretty popular now.
That's what we'll have - when we get the kitchen done - 2 sinks. I already have the sinks in storage.
I've thought about real wood a lot. But, decided in the end that the wood-look is easier to care for. If I was 30, I might do it anyway. We had real wood floors when we were first married, and I loved them, but to look good they needed caring for. Also, that was in drier S. Calif., I'm not sure how well they would work with a wetter climate with not a lot of space between the outdoors and indoors.
