With the heat... and have you heard the Texas had lots of power towers down... I am keeping my AC's not higher then 80 and no lower then 77.
Its 11:15am...so my two windows are open. The fans are running the ACs are off. It's 82 inside. Now is when I close my curtains on the west side of the house - the uphill side. The trees have gotten full and taller. But when the sun is overhead.... that doens't help at all. I don't turn the ACs on till about 4pm or later if the humidty is lower.
Unfortunately the humidity has been a tad high - which I don't mind. Except when messing with the kennel. Humidity is at 59% right now.. if it stays that low the house won't be too bad.
When it rains here it's maybe at 3AM, but slight chances. But my honeysuckly has bloomed, has have a number of wildflowers.
Bugs are ut, especially spiders that get in the house.
I bought a new hummer feeder that is flat and the top lifts up to allow a large amount of Nectar to be poured in. The hummers like it. The original Red glass feeder is really hard to clean so I am not using it anymore.
I had a large White Heron fly overhead. Thre isn't enough water in the lake or the river for flocks.
The crows are still calling and flying overhead. Love them.
But Vultures not around right now.
Well, off to take Charlie out to play catch. Have a good day.
Plus the small Black Bird is back, and no snakes seen since I found the snake skin. Whats wonderful is the Texas Spiny Lizard - which climbs trees - and looks so much like bark that unless it moves it's invisible. But there are a number in my back yard and I love watching them run around. Another lizard is the Ornate Lizard. Very oriental skin pattern. Lots of those also.
