All the disruption caused by the DOG and my sons reaction to the situation caused lots of bad emotions. But Boy & I were not the only ones shoring up my fences.
My neighbors across from us had their dogs paw torn and broken. He has spent the past week closing off his yard from the Problem dogs yard. It was a wire fence, now wood.
I mentioned boy & I opened Charlies kennel lengthwise in order to kennel off the Lattice area by the road. So far it really stabilizes the weekend portion.
I let Charlie run in that area now just not alone. I usually keep the long horse rein on his collar so I can grab it if necessary. Being in that area gives him space to run & chase his ball.
Charlie now can go out with me to spread bird seed on th driveway for the wild birds.
Then he can check out As yard for deer. Then we go feed the birds off the back porch.
Luckily after feeding them, putting Charlie in the house I realized I had two portions of picket fence. The white plastic one was maybe 4ft long. The wooden one a bit taller and longer but missing two pickets I put up next to the white one... both are in the corner section of my fence next to As yard and a telephone pole.
I can't decide which I like best though I'm leaning towards the wooden one. Though my driveway has white lattice on both sides...up to the metal gate.
Hmmmmm?lolo!
There is one more section by the house just off the road where I will be attaching a wooden pallet to strength the Lattice fence that needs to be chain link. Sheesh!!!
This morning after I fed the Wild birds & was going down to check the mail. I heard a very loud gunshot. It was my "neighbor" with the puppy that has caused the trouble. Holy moly I jumped 3 feet in the air. I almost changed my mind about the mail. But walked down anyway.
Boy if it's not one thing, its another! Whew!!!
