It was a warm week, with reasonable nights. Until Friday. It got to 80, but then when it was supposed to get warmer, it clouded up, and the temperature began to drop, until it was in the 60's.
Supposedly, we are going to get a little rain today, and some tomorrow, then none for the rest of the week.
My hummingbirds have increased to 5 or 6, with at least 3 at a time eating. I have increased their food, and if I can swing it, will get a second feeder later in the month. I always knew that I'd need another one, just not this soon! I'm looking at the same brand as this one, as I like that it's top filling, has those important soft flowers, and doesn't leak.
Dh might go with Ds later today, to a job site. Ds went to a job site last week, and they had an outdoor play set made mostly of wood, which has a slide, little "tree house", and so forth. It would cost over $1,000. new - we looked online - and the customer said that, if Ds would take it apart, he could have it.
He doesn't need Dh to do anything difficult, just balance the wood as he takes it apart, so that pieces don't fall and hit him on the head when he takes it apart. The baby will love it, I'm sure! She's too young to play on a lot of it still, but she can slide down the slide and such. This will only happen today if Ds gets back from a job early enough, as he's working out at the coast first. Unless it's really raining, as some of his equipment can't take the rain.
My computer has shut down multiple times again this week. Argh!
At least my new dvr worked all week, whew!
Last Sunday, Ds took about 1/2 of the wiring that he thinks needs to go, out of my crown vic. It keeps draining down my battery, which means I don't have a vehicle.
Thankfully, one of his fortes is electrical/wiring. He's was the only one who did it with generators, and still gets calls when shops are stuck, and also solar systems. So, while he's not an auto mechanic, he does understand the wiring.
Because my car was originally a county car, they had a lot of 'stuff' added to it which they removed before selling it. A police-type radio, a weapons lock, antennae, etc. And, when they removed it, they did not do it correctly, leaving things to bleed out, short, and so forth. So, Ds is removing all of the wires that are no longer needed, and will make sure that what's left is correct. It may take a few days of short bursts to work, but hopefully it will solve the problems.
I've been saving up eggs, as I'm going to make a pair of angel food cakes. I actually am going to make one for Ds's birthday, which is next weekend, but I want to make a test cake with the gf flour that he uses, just to make sure that the original measurements of flour will work with it.
Problem is...I don't currently have any cream of tartar. So, I explained to Ds that I wanted to make a cake for his dad, and could I borrow a couple of teaspoons of cream of tartar, lol! And, it's true, Dh will get the test cake. I just left out the part about one being for his birthday. So, hopefully he won't catch on that I'm asking for 2 teaspoons, and not just one.
Well, that's about all from this neck of the woods! How was your week?
