summer because all I could think of is 4th of July....I didn't realize September was a summer month. And I'd never heard of Juneteenth before...didn't they just make it a federal holiday very recently? None of my black students or their families ever mentioned it in my 25 years of teaching and it was never covered in any history class I took.
