I woke at 4AM and after putting out Charlie's breakfast, made a pot of coffee, then walked outside, using my cell to see the ground.
Its warmish this morning. Not totally dark as moon is a waning crescent. Thank you Sky Map App and The Farmers Almanac for 2022.
So looking skyward to see what planets are still lined up in sky above, I saw a brilliant Meteor fly overhead. It appeared just to my East below where the Moon, Mercury & Jupiter were still visible.
How I have longed to see a Meteor. Finally, after waiting and staring skyward for the past six years, I saw a golden light fly across the the sky. It was so fast... I have never seen one before. Not ever. Not during all those years at BOR. Though it was in MN I finally saw the Northern Lights. And the International Space Station while at BOR. Tracked satellites and the space shuttle. But now, finally I've seen a Meteor.
What a thrill. 8-)
