That's a shame.

How cool about the cake, and the top one being for Becky!

That's what Ds did for Thyri's birthday. He made a cake for the people at ddil's parents' house, with a smaller one on top just for Thyri. There was nothing in it that she couldn't have. Especially now that they've discovered that she's still lactose intolerant, as she has been since birth.

They thought that she could tolerate cow's milk now, but she can't. When they were giving here regular cheese and such, she cried and screamed for hours. When they withheld it, she was fine...so, no more cow's milk for her.

She gets goat's milk, goat's milk yogurt, etc.

The cake, therefore, was lactose-free, and the cream cheese frosting on the rest of the cake wasn't on hers. Ds made a cooked, dairy-free frosting for hers. It looked good, and Dh said that it was.

So, I can especially appreciate such efforts.
