...that it's on, and last night was no-ice cream maker sherbet and ice cream. She made a grapefruit sherbet, and a chocolate and vanilla bombe.

Her freezer was on the bottom of her 'fridge, and she was pretty tall, so she was down on her knees to put one in, and take one out.

She said that either she had a very old freezer, or else it was to make you feel humble. By the end of the show she was saying that it must have been made for pygmies, and that she always seemed to get equipment made for pygmies, lololol!

She used an Italian meringue to make it, which was interesting.

What's also fun, is watching her use all of her time-saving, modern equipment. Which is funny because it really only amounted to a rather old stand mixer, a hand mixer, and a regular blender.

But, considering what you have to do without them...!

She also used a lot of classic strainers, a good food mill, etc. And, she would show the difference in the outcome if you used this or that, say types of strainers.

I can see that being the difference between you and your mom. Most people that I've known will use their hands in a meatloaf, but not all.
