When we first moved here, I tried Burger King, and I kind of liked the smoky flavor of the meat, but it just couldn't replace McDonald's.
At McDonald's, what I ate depended on my mood, which time in history, since some foods changed, and which meal it was for.
I actually have never had the quarter pounder. I've had regular burgers...which are great toasted in the oven the next day, btw...and Big Mac's.
Yes, I liked the fries a lot, and the shakes.
I also liked the apple pies.
I was never a chicken nugget eater...I tried a couple once, about 30 years ago. But, I did like the fish fillet sandwiches.
What do you/did you like at Taco Bell and KFC?
I liked the tacos...when they put the cheese on after the meat so that it melted instead of all falling off; I liked the Mexi-Melts, before they changed them; beef burrito with cheese, and sometimes Dh got me rice and cheese.
At KFC, I liked the regular chicken, the bbq'd chicken from an old place because they made it differently than any other store and it was amazing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and coleslaw.
Isn't it interesting that we tend to know what we're having when we go out to eat?
Things like, a café I went to in San Diego - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce.
Bob's Big Boy - Chili cheese spaghetti.
Astro - Patty melt and onion rings.
Danny Dogs - Teriyaki beef.
Etc. I think that you could find out a lot about a person by their choices.
