But, what really gets to me, is that even in the new revolving door system, is how repeat offenders, especially multiple repeat offenders, and violent offenders, get out.
Fine, I get it, we're going to split hairs over shampoo thieves. But, the guy who stabs someone??? The guy who commits a new crime every time he's released? Or, anyone who's a clear danger to the public?
There was a guy here a while back who was involved in a murder. Maybe Humboldt. And, he went to prison, but he was released after only a few years.
Then, a year or so ago, a girl heading to her regular job was taken by him, and murdered, in Nevada, I believe it was. I can't understand why he ever came up for, and was granted, parole.
You're right, criminals know that there are no consequences for their actions.
