We walked the whole yard and there were deer out and the hummers didn't care if it was pouring.
But now I am dealing with muddy dirt in side. Dring the drought sandy was coming in via the AC's. That's because there wasn't anything growing.
Now the weeds, grasses, trees, wildflowers are all growing so fast the yard looks different within 24 hours.
I still need to buy my push mower. But as I walk back home from the mailbox, I am pulling up the tall reedy type grasses. I do the drive way and all along the fences. It's great exercise, but I try not to do it when it's in the 90's or the humidity is more then 80. I walk with Chrlie and I am dripping wet in 5 or so minutes. I stayout 5 or a few more then it is inside for both of us. It takes him as long as it takes me to cool off.
I am so glad you have your TV and what perfect gifts for you both. Happy Birthday to DH.
I mailed DD's birthday box on Tuesday - and it should have arrive Thursday. It arrived late Sat afternoon. It was a prepaid and should have gotten there before her birthday. I think the holiday caused the late delivery. She loved it. Plus it was heavy LOL!
I keep pulling up the tall grasses but I ws shocked to discover that my favorite Ashe Juniper tree has one big branch covered in blue berries that form into cones. It is one of the few trees native to Lakehills. I love it ad have two of them side by side. They ar very tall and full and I had to cut the branches that grew into the power lines. That was a chore. But they are beautiful.
All the trees are full of leaves.. Now that we have had decent rain for the yards and trees, we still need a lot more for the lake. No much change in the lake bed.
So we still have no campers, boats, etc and no snowbirds here enjoying our summer.
Labor Day was very quiet. I like it that way.
Charlie is doing so well. He is back to having his yard to himself with out any outside dogs bothering him. He and A's dog Flinn are getting along great.
Lots of changes down the road. I won't list them as the dates keep changing. DgD will be living here in 6 months at least. Which means a lot of changes to the yard, fencing, etc.
The good news in that I have talked Boy out of a hugh comlicated trip to the Tex storage. Just him & me and all the empty boxes wil go up and bring back what I want. I have no idea what condition the unit is in. It was broken in to many years ago and the exdh never helped me to go to check it out, plus I was the only one working, Jerk!!!
So I am hoping it's not as bad as I imagine. But probably worse.
Well that's it. DD is happy with all her gifts. SHe has gained some weight, but is having trouble walking with out falling. Luckily there are lots of Hummers that like her and she gets to sit outback and enjoy them. We talk everyday.
Well, got to get Charlie out for ball and some walking so I can pull the seeded tall grasses. I hope I can get them to cut back on new growth.
But I love being outside now. Its glorious, even if slightly hot.
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
