My friend who has been out of town and very busy, called me today on her way to the CCtr. I had just passed the mailboxes as she was coming down the road. Lights flashing as she told me stop so she could pick me up. It took 5 minutes, once I got in her car, to arrive at the CCtr. ROFLOL.
The gang was still doing exercises to a CD... a few men - but mostly women. Today everyone was there.
We sat around and chatted while the cooks were setting out the tables. The topics we govered were from WWII - a couple of Naval pilots were sitting next to me. Then Rattlesnakes - eating, cooking and really big ones that were seen. Then a bit of politics - I made sure to sit that topic out. Plus some discussions on family members. ROFLOL!
By that time the line to the food was around the large space.
I had to take a pass and was going home. But I was outvoted and they talked me into staying. It was a free luncheon. So I was given a large plate of Rice and Beans. The dish prepared for me which included Beef Tortillas, was taken by someone else.
It was fun. But I am still learning who is who. Everyone goes around and if they don't know someones name they ask. I ask too. I can only remember two women's names. One wears a red top hat to every meeting, the other was the woman who introduced me to the group.
She made sure I could see her car as she was flashing her headlights - its sunny out, plus talking loudly on her phone to stop she would pick me up. We got to the CCtr in 5 minutes. ROFLOL! Some of these ladies are very bossy.
I can't exercise - no feeling in my right foot. But I do walk. Now when they see me they insist on giving me a ride home. There goes my Waking exercise. ROFLOL!! So I have to walk to the mailboxes a 2 or 3 times a day to make up for the rides.
The regular exercise program was going on till 10am, or so. Unfortunately they opted not to play Mexican Train Dominos. 8-( I am addicted to this game. There are a varied number of players from week to week.
So, it was great fun. Usually there are only 1 or 2 husbands that come to exercise class and stay to play "MTrain" Dominos. I have to say these folk laugh a lot and quite loudly.
Once folks began to leave I was handed a plate of food. I said bye to everyone and tolk off. I got there at 9:35am and left at 12:20pm, because I was forced to get in a car and get a ride home. That took the same 5 minutes of the ride to get to the CCtr. Only going uphill this time.
My white lattice fence and the Fake floral wreaths were both praised. Like always, the end of my house towards the road - was mistaken for my downhill neighbors garage. Once she pulled in to the driveway, she realized with surprise just how long my house was. LOLOL!
Since the rain my Redbuds are in glorious form and color. Before it rained they looks like they were dying.
Thank you Mother Nature. The rain is truly appreciated by me, the birds, squirrels, and all my Redbuds, Wildflowers and grasses. Now for sure I have to buy my Push Mower
Usually I get home close to 11am to feed Charlie.
Let me say he busted out of the door as soon as I unlocked the key.
I opted to drop everything on the bench. As I walked out back with him - FedEx showed up and dropped of my two 60 jars of Jiff Creamy Peanut butter. I never hear them stop out front. Charlie never made a peep.
He is now inside asleep after his late lunch and more running around the yard.
I am waiting for my double Cranberry Juice jugs are due to arrive any minute now. Via UPS.
Charlie wants out again... so after the delivery, I'm taking a nap also.
By the way, Chatting is an exhausting exercise. Pleasent, but exhausting. ROFLOL! *-)
Love All Life; Thank You For Posting! :)
