But while I was at it I also ordered "African Queen," with Katherine Hepburn & Humphrey Bogart. My mother's sister looked like her. So I named DD after Katherine and my aunt. This is one of my favorite movies.
I am considering ordering the entire set of the "Blade Runner" movies. I have the original but there is a precursor and one that follows the original movie. Big SciFi fan here. (Thanks Dad!)
The only SciFi movie series I won't watch are the Alien movies full of gore. Sadly, my grandkids mother let them watch gore movies when in grade school. After the divorce they visited their Dad. They brought their own movies. Videos of course. He, his wife and I were all shocked and appalled. The oldest was 12. His wife & I left the room.
Anyway, back to my movies - I haven't added to my DVDs since I moved here. That is seven years on Nov 6. I may buy a new DVD once every other month, especially "Classics." Bogart, Hepburn, Tracy, and movies with Super Stars. Plus a few more SciFi movies. 8-)
I still don't need or want a TV. But I will buy a small transister radio to lug around when I'm working in the yard. Listening to music - Jazz, Classical, Rock and Latin music are my faves.
Particularly while mowing the lawn, what I have of one, and while setting up herbs and veggies in 5 gallon jugs. No area for a garden. I have to improvise.
I have 5 jugs already. All I need to do is remove the bottom, fill with potting soil, then bury the spout in the rocky dirt for perfect for draining.
Oh, I have had a pepper plant and a tomato plant that were given to me in "spring." They have never produced anything. Plus some critter has been eating them off and on. I relocated them to the front yard which is way to hot, finding shade for them was more like tucking them into shady areas. Which are almost non-existant.I am hoping I can have some herbs and veggies next year.
