Btw, last night, the bear was back at Ds's, and ate Thyri's pumpkin which was by the front door. She loves the look of pumpkins, and tells us every time that she sees one in the store, etc. I think that they are going to need a fake pumpkin for outside, and keep a real one inside! The bear bit the top off of it, chewed it to bits, then carried the rest up the hill from them. Then, he ate the seeds out of it.
Me, too, re: caramel apples. I have wondered about sliced apple wedges, and having a caramel dipping sauce. Not the same, but a tad more do-able!
I remember the church fairs fondly, too! Definitely my answer on that one!
I had forgotten that people sometimes gave out coins. Mostly we got candy, though. My paternal grandmother, always looking out for our nutritional health, gave us boxes of raisins. She was a wonderful woman.
You know, a lot of people do not like Candy Corns, which I didn't know most of my life. But, I always liked them just fine. Then again, I ate Circus Peanuts, too, so you probably can't go by me, lol! Btw, do you know what flavor the Circus Peanuts are? I saw a special on how they make them, and they say that they are...or at least were, banana flavored!
Oooo, absolutely with cream cheese frosting! Same with carrot cake, of course!
